What a Great First Week!
We have had a wonderful first week at Hilham Elementary! We are so excited about the great things happening in our classrooms and the amazing start our students have had.
This year, we are trying a new method of communication through a parent newsletter to help keep families informed about important updates, upcoming events, and all the great things happening at Hilham!
Parents, please check your Skyward account to make sure you have a current email address listed. Newsletters and other important information will be sent to the email address on file.

At Hilham Elementary, we know that just 20 minutes of reading each day can make a big difference in a child's success!
Did you know?
⭐ Reading 20 minutes a day exposes students to approximately 1.8 million words each year.
⭐ Daily reading helps build vocabulary, comprehension, fluency, and confidence.
⭐ Students who read regularly are better prepared for success in all subject areas.
🏡 Families, we encourage you to set aside 20 minutes each day for reading. Read together, take turns reading aloud, listen to your child read, or enjoy a favorite book independently.

Teacher Appreciation Week is almost here! Want to show your appreciation for our Hilham Tiger teachers and staff? We have meals donated, but what about a nice drink to go with it? Send $5 and the name of the teacher or staff member you'd like to sponsor. If a person is sponsored more than once, the money will go toward another staff member!

Hilham Elementary pre-K has openings for the 2026-2027 school year. Income eligible 4-year-olds are the first priority. You may contact the Hilham Elementary front office (823-6816) or the Central Office (823-1287) for an application.
Mrs. Sada has a few extra yearbooks. If you'd like to buy one, they are $25. Call Mrs. Sada in the office or send money as soon as possible. It is first come, first served!
Student athletes in rising 5th grade through seniors in high school can get sports physical for only $10 (cash only) on April 16, 2026 from 5:30-8:30 pm at the Livingston Clinic on Main Street in Livingston.
It's the time of year to start thinking about summer activities. OCS Summer Learning Camp is a great opportunity for your child to build skills over the summer!
It is available for enrolled OCS students rising to grades K-9.

Overton County Schools is adding an extra layer of security to protect your child’s information. Beginning this spring, all FinalForms accounts will use multi factor authentication (MFA). This means that after entering your password, you’ll also enter a quick verification code sent to your email or phone. It’s a simple step that helps keep student data safe.
The 2026–2027 FinalForms platform will open on April 15, 2026. Families can begin updating student information, completing annual forms, and signing required documents at that time. Most information will automatically carry over from last year, so the process should be quick and easy.
